The Star Ledger – BERNARDSVILLE Former Boy Scout to be Honored by Scouts

Former Boy Scout Keith Mirchandani, founder and chief executive officer of Tristar Products in Fairfield, the “As Seen on TV” company, will be honored by the Boy Scouts of America at its 100th Anniversary celebration next week.

Founded in 1992, Tristar Products Is a global company that manufactures and markets consumer products such as the AbRoller and AbCoaster.

Mirchandani said he salutes the Boy Scouts “for being such a powerful force for good.”

“The well-known traits associated with Boy Scouts – being trustworthy, helpful and courteous, to name just a few – are essential in a business such as mine that hinges on responsibly delivering on promises to customers,” Mirchandani said. “Scouts set a high standard and their activates serve as positive examples for today’s youth. They strive to be exemplary individuals who live by a timeless creed that will be as relevant 100 years from now as it is today and was 100 years ago.” Mirchandani, a resident of Bernardsville, was a Boy Scout in Parsippany. He will receive the 2010 Centennial Distinguished Citizen Award May 12 at the Boy Scouts of America 100th Anniversary Celebration, being held at the Ellis Island Immigration Museum.
